My Story

Hi there! I’m Vibeke, a designer, illustrator, and coffee lover based in the beautiful town of Elverum in Norway. I juggle my time between my home studio, where I dive into my art, and a shared office space where I handle the business side of Poppydesign, the creative studio I started in 2003. The name? It’s inspired by my favorite childhood doll, Poppy, a nostalgic "nod" to my early love for creating.

Nature is a big inspiration for me, especially the forest surrounding my home. I’ve always been drawn to bright colors, playful designs, and seasonal themes, especially fall and Christmas. There’s just something about the cozy vibes that always finds its way into my work.

When I’m not painting or sketching, I’m probably enjoying a cup of coffee, spending time with my family, or dreaming about my next adventure. I love collaborating with brands to bring their unique ideas to life, whether it’s designing for greeting cards, fabric, or something entirely new.
