Why a comprehensive graphic design profile is an investment in your brand

A clear and well-thought-out graphic profile is more than just a pretty face. For most companies, it's about building recognition, trust and professionalism in their dealings with customers, whether it's online, in social media or in physical materials such as brochures, roll-ups or other graphic printed matter.

What is a graphic design profile?

A graphic design profile, often referred to as a visual identity or brand guide, is a set of guidelines for how your company should look visually. It includes the logo, colors, typography, imagery and other elements that create a common thread in all communication. It ensures that everything from Instagram posts to advertisements, newsletters and websites have the same look and feel, making your business appear more professional and trustworthy.

But a design profile isn't just about the logo. It's the big picture that counts. For example, do you have defined colors and fonts? An image style? Templates for presentations or Instagram posts? Have you thought about the tone of voice? How employees should use the profile in presentations or emails? All of these elements add up to a complete design profile that is both easy to use and easy to recognize.

An important part of the design process is also about understanding who you want to reach. I help you define your target audience (your «personas») and how to best communicate with them. This makes it easier for you and your partners to know who to target when creating ads, blog posts or social media posts, for example.

How we work together

The collaboration usually starts with a kick-off meeting where we map out your needs and goals. I then hold a workshop where we go more in-depth: We look at your target group, values, how the profile will be used by you/employees, partners or agency, and which platforms you use. We'll also discuss relevant keywords and phrases to ensure that the profile and message work well digitally.

Based on this work, I develop 1-2 concepts that I present to you. Once you've chosen a direction, I develop and finalize the chosen profile in close collaboration with you. The goal is always to create a comprehensive and functional tool that can be used by the entire company on a daily basis.
